Pensacola Children's Chorus $10,000 Drawing Fundraiser

2/28/2012

It is time for the Chorus’ spring fundraiser! Insert drum roll, please … Beginning next Monday, we will begin our $10,000 Drawing!

Your child will have the opportunity to promote our $10,000 drawing to take place at the Sunday performance of Showtime, and the chorus member who sells the most tickets by April 27th will win an iPad!

During rehearsals this week, we will be sending home informational packets regarding the $10,000 Drawing Fundraiser. Unlike the cookie dough, bedding plants, and poinsettias, this fundraiser does not go towards tour specifically. In your packet, you will receive a copy of our Drawing flyer, Instructions, and Ticket Order Form (which is also attached with this email). During NEXT WEEK’S rehearsals (week of March 5th-9th), tickets will be distributed for sale through my office at the Chorus (Hillary’s office – First office on the left as you walk in the Chorus building). Chorister, Festival, and Concert parents/guardians must sign for receipt of tickets. Echo and Young Singers will be able to sign for receipt of their tickets. All ticket stubs and payments will be due Friday, April 27th by 5:00 p.m.

Once your child receives the informational packet at rehearsal this week, please feel free to contact the Chorus if you have any questions. The Chorus will be promoting the Drawing throughout the Escambia and Santa Rosa area for the next 10 weeks. Thank you for your continued support!

$10,000 Drawing • Instructions

1. What is the ticket price and how will the funds be used?
The suggested donation is $35 and will go into the Chorus Financial Aid and Operations funds. The Chorus member who sells the most tickets at the end of the payment deadline (April 27, 2011) will win an iPad. iPad winner will be announced at the Sunday performance of Showtime.
2. Who is eligible to win the $10,000 Drawing?
Winner must be at least 18 years old. Chorus staff members and members of the Executive Board of the Pensacola Children’s Chorus are not eligible.
3. When does the sale of drawing tickets begin and end and when will the winner be announced?
Tickets will be distributed beginning March 5, 2012. The deadline for Chorus members submitting the $10,000 Drawing ticket stubs and payment is Friday, April 27, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. The winner will be announced at the Sunday, May 13th 2:30 p.m. performance of Showtime in addition to the chorus member selling the most tickets. You DO NOT have to be present to win.
4. How do I get tickets to sell?
Complete the Ticket Order Form at bottom of this form and return to the chorus office. Your tickets will be ready for pick-up the following week March 5th-9th at your child’s applicable rehearsal. Because of the need to carefully and accurately account for all ticket sales, Chorister, Festival and Concert parents or guardians must sign for receipt of the tickets. Echo and Young Singers can sign for receipt of their tickets. All tickets are numbered and a log will be kept indicating applicable tickets received by chorus member.
5. How many tickets can I order?
You may order up to 25 tickets at a time. Should you want additional tickets to sell just complete another order form and return it to Hillary Hughes Turner at the Chorus office.
6. When I sell a ticket, what do I do? Collect suggested donation of $35.00 per ticket. All checks should be made payable to Pensacola Children’s Chorus or PCC with $10,000 Drawing in the memo. Include chorus member’s name on the back of the ticket stub, along with required information about the ticket buyer on the front of the ticket as well as the attached order form. Detach and keep the stub with payment. Give the corresponding ticket (larger portion of perforated ticket) to the buyer. Enclose ticket stubs and checks in the $10,000 Drawing return envelope provided when you received your ticket order. Insert the sealed envelope in the DROP BOX immediately to your left as you enter the chorus building.
7. What if I am unable to sell tickets?
Please return any unsold tickets to Hillary Hughes Turner at the PCC office AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so they may be reissued to other chorus members/patrons.
