Pensacola Children's Chorus Holds Auditions for 2010-2011 Season

The Pensacola Children's Chorus, under the direction of Susan and Allen Pote, announces that auditions will be held in August for participation in the organization's exciting 2010-2011 season. The choirs for which auditions will be taking place include Festival, Concert, Echo and Young Singers.

The Pensacola Children’s Chorus has earned a reputation for excellence in vocal instruction and performance opportunities for youth. The audition schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, August 30 and Wednesday, September 1, 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. both days – new member auditions for girls in grades 4-8.
  • Tuesday, August 31, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – auditions for new boys in grades 4-8.
  • Tuesday, August 31, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. – auditions for new boys and girls in grades 9-12.
  • Friday, September 3 – announcement of audition results via mail and posting on the Children’s Chorus web site and Chorus building doors by 5:00 pm.

All auditions take place at the Margaret Moore Nickelsen Center, located on the campus of First Presbyterian Church at 46 East Chase Street in downtown Pensacola. It is not necessary to make an individual appointment, and auditionees do not need to bring a prepared song.

Returning members (8th grade BOYS, Echo and Young Singers) of the Pensacola Children’s Chorus will audition August 31 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
